This Week’s Reading

Whale Hunt by Nelson Cole Haley and The Story of a Novel by Thomas Wolfe.

Whale Hunt is research for a short fiction story I have written and am editing. Also did a whale watch boat in Bar Harbor this week. Between the two, the story will have more life to it, despite the fact that the whales are not the main characters.

Wolfe’s book was found in a used book store in Brooklyn. It’s an original from 1936, copyright by Charles Scribner’s Sons and dedicated to his friend, managing editor, Alfred Dashiell, of Scribners.
